Steve Glomb is the director of the Office of Restoration and Damage Assessment in the U.S. Department of the Interior. He manages the Natural Resource Damage Assessment and Restoration (NRDAR) Program, whose mission is to restore natural resources injured as a result of oil spills or hazardous substance releases in the environment. He has focused on the restoration aspects of NRDAR since 2002. Steve worked in the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on the Coastal Barriers Resources Act and helped establish EPA’s National Estuary Program. Steve also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Africa. He has a master's degree in biological oceanography from Florida State University and a bachelor's degree in fisheries biology from the University of Massachusetts.
