Steph Tavares-Buhler is a licensed California attorney who has been privileged to spend the past 10+ years mostly avoiding the practice of law by traipsing over fields and mountains, primarily in northern California. She holds a bachelor's degree in Global Studies and History from UC Santa Barbara, and a master's degree in environmental law and policy (magna cum laude) and a juris doctor (cum laude) from Vermont Law and Graduate School. Before working in land conservation, Steph was an energy and environment journalist in Las Vegas.
