Under Sarah's leadership, Grand Prairie Friends serves six counties across 130 miles of East-Central Illinois' woodlands and remnant prairie. Sarah has spent the last 20 years training conservation outreach personnel throughout the country (and Japan!) to create lasting connections between people and natural areas. As the previous Illinois Coordinator for SFI's Project Learning Tree program, Sarah utilizes hands-on community conservation activities engage a variety of stakeholders including volunteers, visitors, donors and staff on her preserves.
