Rachael has more than two decades of experience and expertise directing strategic communications and stakeholder engagement initiatives. As Senior Federal Campaigns Manager for Climate at The Nature Conservancy, Rachael designs and directs comprehensive legislative and issue influence campaigns to further TNC's climate policy goals. Prior to joining TNC, Rachael was founder and principal at Liberty Plain Consulting, a public engagement and outreach consultancy. She previously served as media attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Singapore, supervising the Embassy’s press and social media outreach. While in the private sector, Rachael led Asia Pacific marketing communications strategy for a leading multinational insurer and also held a number of public and government affairs positions at a Fortune 50 energy provider. She has experience as an on-the-record spokesperson and primary media contact for non-profit organizations and corporations with global operations, and has managed public education and advocacy campaigns focused on healthcare, finance, and technology policies. Rachael was a regular contributor to The Boston Globe and Washington Examiner and is a graduate of Georgetown University and The London School of Economics and Political Sciences.
