Martina Müller works to protect forests around the world by accelerating the shift towards more sustainable business practices. She leverages corporate efforts to address deforestation in global supply chains and collaborates with investors and companies to connect the dots between preserving forests and tackling climate change. Martina has accumulated extensive experience in international environmental policymaking and stakeholder engagement. Before joining Ceres, she served as advisor to the Secretary for Environment of the State of São Paulo, Brazil, where she designed and led the implementation of various policies and technical cooperation projects. Martina started her international policy career at the United Nations Secretariat in New York, engaging non-governmental stakeholders in the Agenda 2030 negotiations. She holds a Law Degree from the University of Sao Paulo and a Master's Degree in Public Policy from Harvard University.
