Liz Kalies is the director of science for the NC chapter of The Nature Conservancy, and has an adjunct appointment at Duke University. At TNC, she focuses on coordination of large-scale monitoring to assess land protection outcomes, using evidence-based synthesis to answer management questions, and research on wildlife ecology and connectivity. She has a doctorate from Northern Arizona University, a master’s degree from Yale University and a bachelor's degree from Cornell University.
