Linda Orel is a Conservation Finance Director with The Trust for Public Land. Based in Boston, Linda drafts legislation and designs ballot measures, while managing voter outreach campaigns for land and water conservation. She has been directly involved in technical assistance, ballot measures and legislative campaigns at the state and local level in Arkansas, Connecticut, Georgia, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont. Linda also directs The Trust for Public Land’s climate conservation work, providing technical assistance to state and local governments and citizen groups to create new public funds for natural climate solutions. Linda is the Executive Director of The Trust for Public Land Action Fund, TPL’s lobbying affiliate. Prior to her work at The Trust for Public Land, Linda was an environmental lawyer, advocate, teacher and foundation officer, and directed a statewide nonprofit.
