Laurel Jackson is a water resources specialist with the Portland Water District where she is focused on protecting Greater Portland’s drinking water source, Sebago Lake. Laurel provides assistance to lakefront homeowners, conducts water quality monitoring, and participates in outreach efforts. Laurel also manages the watershed land conservation program that helps area land trusts conserve forests that act as a natural water filter for Sebago Lake. Laurel has a biology degree from the University of Southern Maine and has worked at the Portland Water District for thirteen years.
