Kristen Weil is GIS project manager for The Trust for Public Land, where she works to strategically identify areas to create parks or protect land for people. Since joining The Trust for Public Land in 2017, Kristen has worked on spatial assessments of cities to identify where green infrastructure can have multiple benefits for the Climate-Smart Cities Program. Outside of cities, Kristen has analyzed where wildlife habitat intersects with community open space needs to determine important lands to conserve near communities. Kristen’s work spans on-the-ground community engagement to high-level scientific modelling of ecological issues using cutting-edge methodologies and the best available data.
