Kayla Stukes is a recent graduate from North Carolina State University, graduating with her masters degree in Forestry. Kayla most recently defended her thesis, titled "Minority Landowners' Participation in Conservation Programs: Understanding Barriers And Opportunities". Her research primarily focused on the gap in racial diversity that is observed in conservation programs and the barriers minority landowners often face that may contribute to this gap. Kayla is an esteemed environmentalist, with a passion for environmental education, human dimensions, conservation, wildlife and forestry.
