Katy McWilliams has been working in conservation and land protection in Georgia and South Carolina since 2003. She currently serves as the director of land protection of TNC-South Carolina, focusing on co-operative land projects with federal, state and private partners. She also specializes in conservation easement portfolio management and land trust organization coordination. Katy led the South Carolina Land Trust Network, as Chair of the Board, to formal establishment as an organization. She is an alumna of Emory University’s Environmental Studies program and also has a law degree from University of South Carolina and a Masters of Environmental Law & Policy from Vermont Law School.
