Jessie Levine is the conserving land and water strategy lead for The Nature Conservancy's New England Division as well as the coordinator of the Staying Connected Initiative, a binational public-private partnership focused on sustaining a connected forested landscape in the Northern Appalachians of the U.S. and Canada. She serves on the executive committee of the Network for Landscape Conservation and as Eastern North America lead for the IUCN's Connectivity Conservation Specialist Group. the Prior to TNC, Jessie's work included managing collaborative environmental initiatives across North America, coordinating biodiversity research at a university, leading youth environmental education, and directing volunteer programs in Latin America. She holds a master's in energy and resources and a master's in city and regional planning from the UC Berkeley, and a bachelor's degree in human biology from Stanford University.
