Jennifer joined the Kiawah Conservancy staff in April of 2003. As the communications and education coordinator, she is responsible for communications, marketing, branding, website and social media management and educational outreach programing. Jennifer is transplant from the foothills of Western North Carolina where she developed an avid appreciation for nature at a young age. For the past 16 years, her love for Kiawah's marshes, beaches, maritime forests, and unique wildlife species has grown, as has her passion for preservation through educational outreach. "Conservation education is a critical tool for connecting our community to nature. It is increasingly important in this age of technology to find new and fun ways to make that connection. The Naturally Kiawah Pathways tours on the TravelStorys app is one of the ways the Kiawah Conservancy is making conservation education fun and our community is loving it."In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys spending time in the outdoors camping, hiking and kayaking with her teenage sons, Tanner and Cooper. She is an avid volunteer with the Boys Scouts of America where she currently serves as Cub Scout Pack 63 Committee Chair, Scouts BSA Troop 63 Assistant Scoutmaster, and a Palmetto District Roundtable Commissioner.
