Jean Willoughby is the Organizational Development & Strategic Initiatives Director for Agrarian Trust, a national farmland trust that supports equitable land access for farmers through innovative partnerships and legal tools. She also serves as a Trainer with the Racial Equity Institute and travels the country with the training team to deliver workshops for a wide variety of organizations. Previously, Jean served as a founding advisor to Agrarian Trust and spent several years overseeing a grant program designed to promote sustainable practices and entrepreneurship among small- and mid-scale farmers. She started her career in public health and spent most of the last decade working in political and environmental organizing, agriculture, and economic development after graduating from Wesleyan University with a bachelor's degree in Sociology. She also studies Biology at the University of North Carolina - Greensboro. Jean's articles and essays have been published in YES! Magazine, Food Tank, The New Farmer’s Almanac, and MAKE: Magazine.
