Heather Haney is an attorney at Kaplan Kirsch & Rockwell LLP (CO). Heather’s practice focuses on real estate, land use, and public and private financing in both Colorado and California. She represents clients with small and large scale redevelopment projects, renewable energy projects, transit-oriented developments, and complex conservation easement transactions. Heather has successfully protected agricultural lands, natural habitats, and open space with her representation of private landowners and conservation organizations, completing multi-year gift and bargain-sale conservation easements that required the coordination of numerous state and local government funders and foundations, negotiation of option agreements, subordination agreements, life estates, deeds, and tax credit applications. Prior to law school, Heather was an environmental consultant in San Diego, where she represented both public and private entities in the preparation of environmental impact reports, habitat conservation plans, and other technical documents in accordance with related federal and state environmental laws and regulations.
