Granddaughter of Jean and daughter of Kathy (Eastern Band T'Salagi), Dr. Daisy Purdy’s personal and professional commitments are guided by her Ancestors and supported by Community. Daisy’s values are rooted in Queer Black Indigeneity and holistic health. She is an activist, educator, administrator, scholar, organizer and entrepreneur. Daisy founded a predominantly BIPOC equity consultancy, Inclusive Community in 2016. Daisy earned a PhD in Political Science from Northern Arizona University, and a PhD in Sciences (Ecology) from Macquarie University in Sydney Australia. Her applied research and community initiatives focus on Indigenous land management policies and practices. Daisy was a faculty member at Northern Arizona University for ten years in Ethnic Studies, Applied Indigenous Studies, and Sociology. Daisy is deeply committed to honoring People and Place.
