Christine McCauley has been the executive director of the Madison-Morgan Conservancy(MMC) since 2003, where she has helped the organization protect over 2,550 acres of land through donated conservation easements. During her time at MMC, Christine created the biannual Greenprint Ramble, a community-wide effort that has been extremely effective in conveying the importance and value of the area's natural, agricultural, and historic resources. She has also created and grown FARMeander, a map-based tour guide to local farms in and around Morgan County. Over the years, while serving as a Trustee or working on a part-time basis for the Conservancy, she acted as executive director for both the Chattahoochee Hill Country Conservancy and the Buckhead Heritage Society. Ms. McCauley received her Bachelor of Arts in Geography and her Master of Historic Preservation from the University of Georgia, where she focused on rural planning and environmental ethics. She has served on the Madison Greenpspace Commission, the Madison Historic Preservation Commission, and on various Morgan County Ordinance Review Committees as well as the Morgan County Chamber of Commerce's Agritourism Committee. Ms. McCauley lives in Madison, Georgia.
