Charlie Mize is from Burlington, NC. His undergraduate degree is in Sustainable Agriculture and Agroecology from Appalachian State University. In December of 2019 he will receive his Master of Forestry and Master of Environmental Management from The Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University. Interested in the economics of land use and natural resource management and ways, including carbon credits, for small and large landowners to monetize ecosystem services, Charlie hopes to have a career solving those problems, whether in an NGO, private firm, or governmental agency.
