Alex French is the sustainability coordinator at Clarkson University. He holds a master's degree in environmental policy. His research focused on land-based carbon sequestration for higher education. As the sustainability coordinator Alex is working to leverage the university and community resources to develop two carbon offset programs for the institution's climate goals: an agroforestry program tied to a study abroad opportunity in Uganda and another that is based on local conservation easements. He is currently serving as the chair of the board for the Algonquin to Adirondack Collaborative (A2A), focusing on connectivity between the two parks.
