Field Trip 2: Exploring the Rose City by Bike

Portland is known for its lush parks, bikeable neighborhoods, world class cuisine and beer. On this full-day biking excursion, we’ll experience all of the above as we cruise through Portland and visit a few of our favorite parks—with stops at a food cart pod and brewery along the way. We’ll learn about the history of Portland parks, look for local wildlife, learn about native plants in our region and experience a few of Portland’s culinary delights. The ride is 18 miles with many stops. The route is predominantly flat and on low-traffic streets designated as neighborhood greenways. Your guides, in addition to their day jobs supporting land trusts, are a birder and a local guidebook author. Bicycles and helmets provided. Please note lunch costs are not included in the price of this trip and will be on-your-own at the food cart pod.
