Join Columbia Land Trust for a tour of two major restoration projects in Southwest Washington. Our first stop will be Steigerwald Wildlife Refuge, where the Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership has reconnected 965 acres of Columbia River floodplain. At our second stop, Columbia Land Trust’s Wildboy Forest, we will walk a mile to Kwoneesum Dam, which will be removed in 2023 in partnership with the Cowlitz Indian Tribe. Weather permitting, guests may be able to take a quick swim in the reservoir and we’ll stop at a brewery for local beer tasting on our way back to Portland.
