Land conservation is an essential strategy for conserving diversity and maintaining nature’s services under climate change. A protected network of climate resilient sites and linkages will help sustain the diversity of plants and animals in the US while storing carbon and helping to facilitate nature’s adaptation. This interactive seminar is designed to give you the tools you need to incorporate climate resilience into your land protection work. We will discuss challenges and opportunities, use web tools to evaluate climate resilience at terrestrial and coastal sites and learn from fellow land trusts that have integrated this into their conservation planning. Attendees will need a laptop with a wireless connection.
