Not for the faint of heart, this peer exchange is a fast-paced event where you and your fellow attendees in collaborative landscape conservation are just the right kind of expert: the one with first-hand knowledge! Listen to and provide and receive feedback on what is currently challenging you and your peers most. Discuss the nature of what's challenging you in getting a collaborative or partnership started; keeping partners engaged; creating a collaborative strategic map of priorities; finding funding for activities and land protection; strengthening the capacity of partner groups like land trusts; addressing climate change, community conservation and inclusion at the landscape-scale; and engaging new partners and sectors. Or, come with a different challenge to discuss at your table. The timing and sequence of sharing and feedback are such that each attendee will describe their challenge. Following their sharing, they will then receive feedback, questions, and input about their specific problem from five of their peers. After everyone has received feedback, the table group will debrief and share and discuss their main takeaways with the larger group. That's it. The session is not about the presenters and their activities. It's not about coming up with a consensus on the best solutions. It's about you, your challenges, the answers and new friends you leave with, and what you have to offer your peers.
